A triumph of rockin’ country from a guy who cut 'Achy Breaky Heart' before Billy Ray, recorded an album for Mercury which was never released and just for good measure battled testicular cancer for a couple of years. By now his two sons are old enough to join the band and Roger gets a chance to be heard. It is straight out of Nashville though and probably not best suited to these pages but having said that it's not as processed as some of the Nashville stuff veering more towards Charlie Daniels or The Marshall Tucker Band which gives it a more human and ultimately listenable feel and there is some very fine playing deserving more than just a passing listen.
